The acetyls group includes Acetic Acid, Vinyl Acetate Monomer (VAM) and Ethyl Acetate. The materials find a wide range of uses from polymers to solvents. Global capacity for the parent of the group, acetic acid, is a little over 7 million tpa of which around 43% is consumed in VAM production and 6% in ethyl acetate production. Other products in the group include polyvinyl alcohol and Acetic Anhydride.
